Pia Peterson Haggarty is a photo editor and photo researcher. She is currently the photo director at Lonely Planet.

Previously, she was a features photo editor at The Wall Street Journal, photo editor at BuzzFeed News and a photo assistant at the New York Times Magazine.

Pia has lectured on photography and reviewed work at Columbia's School of Journalism, the School of Visual Arts, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, the International Center of Photography, Parsons and Manhattan College. 

Her work has been recognized by American Photography, the Society of Publication Designers, Photo District News, and she contributed photo research to the Pulitzer-winning 1619 project.
